All about Me
Clay Madison Jake
Quiet and peaceful, the peace of “All about Me” was created by Madison.
Her colours express her.
The brown and black shows a guitar which expresses her love for music.
Her peace has a baseball and bat which shows her love for sports.
There is a big baseball stadium which explains her love for baseball.
This work of art shows what her life is.

Wembley Stadium
By Anayeth

Wondrous and eye-catching, the ‘Wembley Stadium’ was produced by Yacoub in Ms. Courtney’s year six classroom in 2009, A.D. It is white, blue and red. I would like to point out the way it slants as it rises, showing the amount of detail in this piece.
Yacoub is not the only one to think it is a masterpiece. ‘His work of art is really something to be proud of.’ Says fellow sculptor Sarah. I love your work of art, Yacoub! I’m sure you do too.

Nintendo World
Welcome to Nintendo World! I am Madison your tour guide. Here you can see many things but I want to point out my personal favorite. The three statues right in the middle of Okami city.
The statues of a DS, a wii remote, and Entei. They are said to be named after the three elements of life, but I won’t go into details.
There is so much texture and the perspective is just right so that whenever there is a solar eclipse it is in perfect alignment. The whole entire city comes to watch the black and white sculpture come to life in a flash.
Mario Galaxy is huge and the evil ink cooperation, Bowser, and there army are trying to attack, so watch out!
Thank you for coming and enjoy your day.
Your tour guide,
Madison

Sand shore written by: Maya
Piece of art made by: Jake

This piece of art is very nice
And reminds me of fresh nature,
And cocoanut milk because of the cocoanuts in this piece of art. The colours in this piece of art are:
Yellow because of the sand, and the tree colour.
Brown because of the cocoanuts,
Green because of the leafs on the tree. And black from the dots on the sand.
This piece of art is nice if you need to relax,
imagine the sea.

The Treasure Island
“It worked.” Says Anayeth. Actually, it can swing through as a bed, not a swing. She found a way to solve. It even has a raft to take it to the island. The colours are white, green, red and brown. It makes me feel happy because it reminds me of a picnic. The work was very colourful and the green makes me think of a farm. She made her work of art look really shiny. I think she worked on it so much because she put tooth picks inside clay and she used strings so the seat can swing.

This is Elmira's art work.

Maya’s work of art

Maya has produced a brilliant work of art. The colours of her leaf are: orange, yellow, brown and green. It looks like all the colours of autumn and the changes that happen. When you look at it, it looks like you are in the park on a nice autumn day. It looks like a young, beautiful maple leaf that has fallen from a tree. The perspective of the maple leaf is like your towering over it, while it is on the ground. I think it should be put up in an art gallery. Well done Maya, I love your work of art!

Elmira’s work of art shows that she likes the beach, holidays, and sunshine. One notices that water washed over a yellow shell, forming a green colour. Some areas where water was washed over a lot made the shell blue. There is medium gloss on the shell. I would say it was a sea shell if I looked at it, and I think it is a good work of art. It is shaped like a crab shell. It is a work of art because it is simple yet looks good. From the artwork one can see that Elmira’s favourite colour is green because that’s the colour featured most in the artwork.

Mickey Mouse in the World of Adventures

Expressive and unique, the sculpture of Mickey Mouse’s head was created by Sarah in 2009.
Mickey Mouse’s smiley, yellow glossy face is framed by his big, black ears.
His eyes are big and black with an excited expression. I like his big eyes, because they just seem to be looking at you, glowing.
I think that the special feature in this sculpture is it’s unique, and looking at it makes me smile.
I think it’s unique and full of happiness. I think the artist put a lot of thought in it. The piece of art has a good smooth texture and it’s very lively! I think it deserves to be ranked as a famous work of art because of the expressive and thoughtful touch.

How We Express Ourselves

Year 6 has been busily working on discovering the many different ways to express ourselves. We have experimented with a variety of forms including photography, painting, sculpting, writing, creating musical compositions and scores, and even cooking.

Throughout this process, many students have discovered new talents and strengths. They have created personal actions plans to show how they have taken what they have learned at school and applied it to their personal lives. It's been a fun and busy process. Well done Year 6!
